New: Brust Zentrum Ticino
As a national player in the healthcare sector, Affidea Switzerland is active in the regions of Fribourg, Valais, Geneva and, more recently, in Zurich with the acquisition of the Zurich Breast Centre in 2022 and the Plastic Surgery Group in 2023. Today, Affidea Switzerland is pleased to announce its expansion into the canton of Ticino with the opening of the Affidea Breast Centre Ticino in Lugano, based on the successful Zurich model. With this new centre, Affidea is expanding its nationwide network of centres of excellence specialising in breast medicine in the areas of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and aftercare of breast cancer. From January 2024, the team of specialists will begin working closely together and will then be brought together in a brand new, state-of-the-art centre at the beginning of 2025. PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2023
The Breast Center Zurich joined around 5000 participants in the "Walk of Hope" at the beginning of September to show solidarity to those affected by breast cancer and their relatives! The Pink Ribbon Walk is the largest breast cancer solidarity event in Switzerland. Thank you Nicole Zindel and her team for the great commitment and the perfect organization of this solidarity walk!SENOLOGIE UPDATE 2023
This year's Senology Update was a complete success. One of the largest specialist senology events in Switzerland enjoyed great popularity and enabled 268 participants to enjoy a top-class continuing education day with excellent workshops, lectures and networking opportunities. We thank all contributors, sponsors and participants for the exciting congress.
PINK RIBBON CHARITY WALK 2022
A concentrated load of solidarity in PINK! The Breast Center Zurich has been closely associated with Pink Ribbon as a professional partner for years. It is a matter of the heart for us to run as a team at the Pink Ribbon Walk and together with 5000 other participants to show sympathy to those affected by breast cancer and their relatives, to encourage them in this way and to signal support. The donations and part of the entry fees raised CHF 88,000, which will be used as direct aid for those affected and for research. A big thank you to Nicole Zindel and her team for their commitment and the perfect organization of this solidarity run! "together we are stercher!"
NEW MAJOR SHAREHOLDER AND STRONG PARTNER
Since April 2022, the Breast Center has a strategic partner in Affidea, a European radiology company, as its main shareholder. This allows synergies to be exploited and the Breast Center can look to the future with strength. The medical orientation of the Breast Center remains unchanged and we continue to do everything in our power to offer our patients and our referring physicians the best possible service.
20 years anniversary
Secretly, quietly, the Breast Center Zurich has turned 20 years old. For the anniversary there is this new website and on Instagram there is always background information.
